Seamless Auth in a Summer
Seamless Auth has moved from v0.2 to v0.7 since the spring, and the ecosystem around it moved further than the auth server did. This post is an inventory of what is actually available right now: a second server adapter, a shared type contract, a typed API client, scoped admin roles, an admin console served by the auth API itself, and a CLI that connects to a managed instance in one command. It also covers the unglamorous fixes that matter more than any of that, like TLS to Postgres and correct rate limiting behind a load balancer.
